Very.co.uk is an online department store operated by Littewoods Direct and offer "buy now, pay later" on most purchases (subject to status). Very.co.uk changed their name from Littlewoods Direct to give a new and more modern feel to the brand name and also this now avoids confusion with their flagship brand Littlewoods.
Over the last quarter of 2009 they ran an intensive marketing campaign to lanch the very.co.uk website that included Ferne Cotton, Holly Willoughby in a winter style TV advert (shown below).

Dont even think of shopping with VERY
Horrible, horrible experience.I have never had so much headache in my life. They messed up deliveries numerous times, they attempted to deliver items I have canceled, messed up days and orders. Customer Service is a joke, please do not shop with very.
Never forget to make a payment
Using their service was fine, except when I missed one payment. It was my birthday and I went on lots of holidays and after trying to pay online (which came up unavailable at this time and still does), I forgot.
My bill was for £4.16 in total and they charged me £12 and sent me a threating letter. I would understand if I made a few miss payment but no only the once.
Next, who I also missed a payment with, only charged me £0.52p and put a very small warning in the corner of my letter.
I never been late paying anything before and was very shocked. Needless to say I won't be using Very.co.uk again luv Jen xx
Dont shop at this store!
I ordered a play center for my kid. Although they have splashed "Next day delivery" all over the site, I discovered that my delivery was scheduled for 14 days after my order. And they didn't even bother to inform me about this change and it does not show up when you order. The only email I received had links that go nowhere and their telephone service is "voice controlled" just to make it more inconvenient. I finally got to customer services agent who said he cancelled the order. Today, I checked the account and it said "in depot" so i called again and was told that the order was not cancelled and was on its way. But I am told now it is cancelled. I am crossing my fingers.
Please don't shop here!
Don't bother
Ordered a dress on sale that was supposedly delivered the next day. I waited in all day on the nominated date and did not hear a knock or get a note through the letter box. Rang customer services a week later to be told that somebody signed for my parcel. If it was a neighbour that got the parcel they would've told me, and like i said I receive no note telling me it was delivered to a neighbour. I suspect something dodgy. They are sending me a letter with the signature, and if I don't recognise it they would send another dress to me (which does not exist cause it's sold out). Just a way of delaying my refund I think.
Avoid the hassle. I've only had good experiences wiht ASOS and Figleaves - now that is reliability and customer serivce.
Arrogance beyond compare
They failed to collect a £5 payment then sent me a very strong threatening letter - in red of course. My total bill was all of £17.
Rang up and got the usual arrogance - couldn't care less
They can go stuff themselves - they are still Littlewoods and changing the name is useless without a change in outlook
Disgusting service
Ordered four dining chairs, only 2 got delivered and they then refused to collect the two I wanted to return.
Don't risk it, shop elsewhere!
