Shopping.com UK Further Information

Shopping.com was previously called DealTime and was estalished in 1998 in Israel as a portable application (not a website). The initial idea was to monitor retailer's prices on a specific product for users of the service and alert them when the price fell to a certain level, hence the name DealTme. With the 2000 ".com boom" the business model soon changed from a portable application into a website and in the year 2000 the company had a major restrcture where the uk counterpart website was born along with German, Spanish and Japanese websites.

DealTime became a hit almost strait away in the USA and not long after this, the UK and european DealTime websites started to become just as successful. In September 2003, after the aqcuisition of Epinions.com, DealTime rebranded to Shopping.com as we see it today. Shopping.com now have websites in USA, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Japan and Australia.
